Round 9 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Argentinian Quimsa (2-1). They were defeated by third ranked Brazilian Corinthians (2-1) 100-96 in overtime on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Quimsa. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 28-21 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time.
