Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Round 9 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Argentinian Quimsa (2-1). They were defeated by third ranked Brazilian Corinthians (2-1) 100-96 in overtime on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Quimsa. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 28-21 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 11-7. 24 personal fouls committed by Quimsa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Elyjah Clark (191-1998, college: MSSU) stepped up and scored 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard Davaunta Thomas (196-1995, college: UAFS) chipped in 22 points. The best for the losing side was American Brandon Robinson (196-1989, college: Clayton St.) with 24 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Quimsa's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Corinthians keep a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Quimsa. Defensor defeated 4th placed Ecuadorian Alvarado in Montevideo 101-90 in overtime. American guard Duane Wilson (189-1994, college: Texas A&M) nailed 26 points for the winning side and Facundo Terra accounted for 20 points. Defensor's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Argentinian point guard Andres Lugli (188-1995) came up with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals for Alvarado in the defeat. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 4 other teams. Defending Ecuadorian champion Alvarado still closes the standings with three games lost.
